Jennifer Lawrence has admitted that she didn't initially react well to fame following the success of
'The Hunger Games' franchise. She said fame made her angry.
"The whole world starts looking at you differently,” Lawrence told Entertainment Weekly when asked how she felt about being suddenly thrust into superstar status thanks to her film.
The actress went on to confess that she would get "really emotional just trying to get a coffee,” because “everybody was reacting and it made me feel alienated. I didn’t feel a part of humanity in this weird way."
"I was angry for a long time,” citing the inability to "drive without being followed.” She adds, “I should have the right to not be photographed, especially when you’re going to put my picture next to a story that came out of f—ing nowhere.” The actress, however, has now learned to cope with the baggage that A-list stardom brings.
"I feel like I just don’t have the energy for that anymore. I’ve got such a great life and such a great job. There are some s—ty things that come along with it, but you know, whatever," she added.
Jlaw's upcoming movie Mockingjay – Part 2, the final film in the Hunger Games franchise is scheduled for an early release.
