It's the image we never thought we'd see - a portrait of a half-naked Queen of England staring saucily at her sketcher.
Ahead of Queen Elizabeth's run to being the longest reigning monarch (to be marked tomorrow September 9th), street artist, Pegasus painted a partially nude drawing of Her Majesty on the side of the Winchester Bar in Angel, North London.
According to Pegasus, the polarising work "took a little over two weeks, two days to draw, a day to cut and three hours to paint."
On why he decided to do such a controversial painting, Pegasus told Mashable:
"There is no denying that the queen was stunning when she was young. I wanted to honour that beauty but also portray her in a way that she has never been seen before. I have been fascinated by the transition in the Royal Family from monarchy to celebrity over recent years and wanted to add a bit of modern day celebrity influence into the piece, hence the nude bum."
Pegasus, who admitted that he was arrested by the police last Valentine for a piece he created said feedback on the Queen portrait has been great "but of course with anything there are a few people who feel it's not for them".
Pegasus is a well-known street artist in London who's received attention in the past for his stencil drawings of celebrities like Amy Winehouse and Kate Middleton.
