"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" Movie becomes fastest to pass $1B at Box Office


"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" has grossed an estimated $286.8 million globally in its second weekend to become the fastest film to cross the $1 billion box office global mark with $1.090 billion, in its 12th day of release.


"The Force Awakens" earlier earned an estimated $545 million domestically in 10 days, and $546 million internationally in 12 days.




Domestically, the movie has also gone ahead to become the number two movie of 2015 and the fifth movie of all-time.

Globally, "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is already the fifth movie of 2015, and the fifteenth movie of all-time.

Starring Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Max Von Sydow, the upcoming film is produced by Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk.
